This is my favorite local yarn store in the DMV. They have a good selection of yarn weights and fibers and lots of samples so you can see how the yarn works up. The staff are patient and knowledgeable and the owner is often onsite herself!

Very cute shop with a good selection of yarns! I do wish the staff were a tad bit friendlier/helpful…it is always a little overwhelming walking into a new yarn store, especially as a newer knitter. Tried saying “hello” multiple times to try to initiate conversation, but still a decent experience. Got a pretty skein of yarn, so I am happy. Would come back again

This store is wonderfully dangerous if you have a fiber addiction like I do. Two levels with so many beautiful choices. Classes too. I wish I lived closer so I could try them. They do have a frequent flyer program (frequent fiber?😂) to enable your stash addiction. Be warned (in a good way). Enjoy!

Gorgeous, cozy, and well stocked. Absolutely loved my visit here and left with some fantastic goodies 🥰✨ It's a far drive for me but I hope to visit again some time in the future

Okay, so I am a yarn junkie. And I absolutely love this place! The selection is amazing, the customer service is superb, and the welcoming atmosphere can not be beat. For me Fibers Space is a destination - I have to travel 600 miles to visit - and one to not be missed when I am in Alexandria. I am familiar with the previous King Street space and I am totally excited to visit the new location next year. If you like yarn, be sure to visit. You'll be glad you did! 9/2018 - Made it to the new location on Prince this year. I liked the building and the public space out front was very nice (especially the sheep sculptures.) I had some difficulty once in the building because of mobility issues. The building, understandably, as an older historical building, is not entirely accessible. I was able to get to the upper floor of the shop with care and effort, but there will be limits for some disabled shoppers.
